This park plays a crucial role in preserving the region’s rich ecological diversity with an abundance of species and a breathtaking landscape.
a game drive adventure
We make a game drive for three hours through the landscapes of Tsavo East and then drive to Tsavo west National park with a stopover at Shetani Larva for photos.
Shetani Lava, located about 4 km west of the Chyulu gate of Tsavo West National Park, features spectacular lava flows. Formed around 500 years ago, these 50 sq. km of folded black lava were believed by locals to be the devil emerging from the earth, hence the name “Shetani,” which means “devil” in Kiswahili.
We then visit the Mzima springs for Hippos and Crocodiles, after we proceed to hotel, relax till 16:00 hours and then make the evening game drive.
We visit the Rhino Sanctuary for two hours before proceeding with the game drive till sunset.
